What is remarketing and what are the advantages of this tool?

Remarketing is currently one of the most efficient tools in digital marketing. Initially made available by Google Ads and currently the feature is also available on other platforms such as Facebook Ads, this tool marks and identifies users who visit your site. From there, you can create campaigns on Google Ads to show your ads more often to people who have been captured by the remarketing pixel.

This is the explanation for mysterious situations, where you search for a product or service and suddenly it starts showing ads on your social networks.

This strategy is so common that it is practically impossible to talk about digital marketing without talking about remarketing.

The "re" means a repetition, so remarketing is doing marketing again to the same person. Thus, the impact caused will be greater, since the user has already shown interest in the product or service.

Remarketing can be used in different situations. We can quote from an email to remind you about the items that were placed (and abandoned) in the shopping cart to a notice of any promotion on the site that may interest that particular person.

How does remarketing work?

Created by Google Ads, remarketing works as follows:

When a visitor accesses your website, a "bookmark" is created for this customer using a Cookie. This cookie is responsible for intensifying the display of ads when the user visits other websites or blogs that display Google ads.

When you advertise on Google Ads, you have the option to show your ads on two different networks, the Search Network and the Display Network.

The Search Network is the answer pages for searches on Google and partner sites.

The Display Network is composed of a multitude of websites, blogs and social networks that provide space for displaying Google Ads through the affiliate program known as Google AdSense.

Through the remarketing technique we can expose users to a particular ad more frequently. This is due to your interest in that particular product, revealed by the visit to a particular website or page of the website.

What are the advantages of Remarketing?

As it aims to increase conversions, remarketing works with the maxim that the consumer rarely purchases in the first survey. Especially if it is a high-cost product or service or needs a quote request.

Thus remarketing allows your consumer to have a more intimate contact with the brand. Allowing direct personalized messages in your inbox. Thus, the consumer will remember your offer. And so it will be more and more “convinced” that it is worth closing the deal.

Remarketing is just a perfect strategy to increase your conversions.
