99 invests in artificial intelligence to combat infractions

THERE (artificial intelligence) is being used more and more within global security. With the high rate of effectiveness around the world, companies here in Brazil have also decided to invest in this technology. This is the case of the transport application 99, which since last year, has been using this novelty to fight crimes and propose more safety in its races.

The company ensured that the reduction of serious occurrences on the platform reached 60% in 2019. The fact occurred after the heavy investment in security through artificial intelligence. In fact, there is a whole monitoring that can detect dangerous runs and even predict future infractions.

How it works ?

The company has algorithms, which quickly investigate each user individually. Work that was previously done by several specialists and that took much longer.

As soon as the race begins, the company investigates the user's history and even behaviors that may lead to future incidents. Therefore, if the technology understands that the call may bring some kind of risk, it will have its automatic blocking. In addition, they can ask for additional identity verification and other documents.

Safety first

In an interview, 99 security director, Thiago Hipólito made it clear that security concerns do not end there: “Today, more than 99,99% of our calls end safely. But we are not at ease with this number and we will remain dedicated to always providing more protection before, during and after the races ”, he concluded.

In addition, the 99 app has ensured that it also cares about safety during races. Thus, the company uses security cameras, warning of risk areas and sharing routes. They even have a 24-hour emergency call center that operates 7 days a week and guarantees an immediate response to any occurrence.
