Apple Watch should include sleep tracking on its smartwatches

Rumors arise that Apple is preparing news for the next line of its smartwatches. According to the “9to5Mac” website, the next major update that the company may include in its wearables is the long-awaited sleep tracking feature. The rumors are based on a recent leak of iOS 14 codes

Another great novelty has a direct connection with consumer health. Taking into account leaked information, Apple has been working on a system that detects blood oxygen levels. The device's current system is already able to measure the frequency of users' beats. However, with the update, it will be possible for smartwatches to alert people who are at risk of respiratory or cardiac arrest.

It is not known whether this feature will be available only on the Apple Watch Series 6 or only from watchOS 7. It may be allowed to launch on older devices, requiring only a system update.

A novelty that may also appear in the new smart watch operating system is the option to share the “Watch Faces”, nothing but the “face” of the watch. The code mentions that it will be possible to transfer customized screen settings to friends and family through integration with iOS.

WatchOS 7 must have a new type of dial that has a tachometer feature. This function is used to determine the speed of travel of the user or any nearby object. In addition to all this, the website “9to5Mac” highlighted that the new system will also include a tool for parents to control children who use the device.

Usually Apple details the new features of iOS and watchOS during the “Worldwide Developers Conference” that takes place every year in June. However due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, the company has not yet released the 2020 edition date.
