Rwanda uses robotic technology for mass testing

Rwanda is the first country in the world to use robotic technology for mass testing. With robots and tests available, Rwanda wins the fight against Coronavirus.

The number of Covid cases in Rwanda is very low. Thanks to the position of government officials who followed WHO's recommendations.

So far, (27/07/2020), Rwanda has a total of 1.582 confirmed Covid-19 cases, with 834 recovered and five deaths.

On the 20th, it was announced by the Rwandan Ministry of Health that voluntary testing services for Covid-19 will be accessible to the general public. Until that moment, the service was provided only to people who had contact with confirmed cases of the disease, people at high risk of contracting, such as international traders and truck drivers, repatriated Rwandans, among others.

According to the Minister of Health, Covid-19 tests will now be provided for Rwandans and foreigners leaving the country.

RBC communications chief Julien Mahoro Niyigabira said that there are still some guidelines that have not yet been approved by RBC in this regard, but hope that this process will end this week and begin providing the service. It must be accessible to everyone who needs it, as long as they have the means.
